Here is another “old school” accessory that many people don’t know about. You can’t just use any eraser you may have lying about, unless it is a wool eraser. If it is an acrylic eraser it will eventually melt and get hard. Wool erasers can take the heat and stay flexible. Give it a try to reduce production time.
