You may have customers that purchase t-shirts or other items from you for the purpose of fundraising. Well, this program sponsored by Powerade takes fundraising through the purchase of custom printed hats and apparel to the national level. And it’s all made possible by heat printing–the most cost effective, easiest and reliable way to print custom one-offs. To promote the purchase of “Just a Kid” products, Derrick Rose from the Chicago Bulls has teamed with Powerade to raise funds for the Boys and Girls Club of America. The campaign is based on the common thread that we are all “Just a Kid from Somewhere”. Supporters can select an item and customize with the city of their choice. According to Powerade’s ad, all of the net proceeds from this program are given to the Boys and Girls Club of America, and it’s slated to run through December 31, 2015. Powerade pledges to give a minimum donation of $50,000, but somehow we believe the net proceeds will exceed that. Either way, it’s an excellent example of using custom, on-demand heat printing to raise money for an excellent cause. Here’s one of the commercials running to support the program.
