If you’ve decided you want to try ordering full color transfers, there are a few things you need to know. First of all, if you are ordering CAD-Printz Digital Transfers from Stahls’ or Stahls’ Transfer Express, you can easily upload your artwork and the Analyzer will automatically recognize if your artwork is raster or vector based. The Analyzer will also determine the size of your artwork. Make sure you remove any backgrounds that might be in your artwork that you do not wish to be printed. You can submit either, but if you have a raster file, it must have a minimum of 150dpi in order for the print to appear sharp. It is preferable for the dpi to be at least 350. This video explains the differences between raster and vector artwork. Keep in mind that you need to will also need to determine the type of outline you wish your artwork to have. This is especially important if you have small, detailed elements in your design. If your design doesn’t have an outline, we will add one to your artwork. It is possible to change the color of the outline to the color of the garment on which you are printing. You can also choose to have your CADPrintz design printed on a clear carrier. The options for printing are decided before you place your order. The video below explains how to choose the right artwork outline for your transfer. As always, if you have any questions, we are ready to help on the phone. Keep in mind that CAD-Printz can be ordered in any quantity and there is a CAD-Printz material that can be heat pressed on any fabric–even nylon or stretchy performance wear. You can say yes to just about any customer by using our full color transfer services.
