How to Save a Shirt

Legend has it that one of the reasons our grandfather AC Stahl started selling numbers and letters instead of offering the service of lettered jerseys, is because there were too many spelling issues to deal with. No one likes to be blamed for getting a name spelled wrong but you have to wonder who was responsible for the mistake on Jeff Manship’s (of the Minnesota Twins) jersey. If you ever make a mistake on a jersey that you heat printed, and you were using Thermo-FILM, Thermo-GRIP or another heat transfer material, you can remove the lettering with Stahls’ Solvent.  There’s even a video to show you how you can save your shirt, and most likely, your customer.

will this work to remove stray hot fix rhinestones, too?

  2. Has this solvent been tested to see if it will remove the adhesive from rhinestones that have been heat applied?

    Hi Brenda,
Thanks for reading! THis is the second comment on whether or not the solvent can be used to remove rhinestones. It would of course depend on the adhesive that is used for the rhinestones, as well as the material to which it is applied. If you have a sample of an applied rhinestone and would like to send it in, we will have our testing department give it a try and let you know. It is tested to remove Thermo-FILM and Thermo-GRIP.

Hi Chris, this is the second comment on rhinestones! As I told Brenda, it depends on the adhesive that is used on the rhinestones. If you would like our testing department to give it a try on your rhinestones, we are more than happy to do so. Let me know.

    Hi!

I was wondering why we can’t order the lettering remover solvent when in Canada?

Is there a substitute product available?

    Thanks!
