You might not be familiar with the Belleville Bulls, the Erie Otters, Windsor Spitfires or the Peterborough Petes, but these teams–and all the teams in the OHL  (Ontario Hockey League)–, have some of the most enthusiastic fans in North America!  And they have some pretty fantastic fan wear as well. Many of the looks were heat printed, and we saw custom sublimated twill logos, distressed twill and transfers and traditional twill numbers and letters. Mary and I had the opportunity to attend a Windsor Spitfires game last weekend and we were more than impressed. Not just by the action on the ice, but by the creative marketing done by the organization to get the fans riled up and involved.  We had a blast and can’t wait to go to another game. But now that the Canadian dollar is worth more than the American dollar, it’s going to cost a bit more, we’ll really have to watch how we spend the loonies and toonies (nicknames for Canadian one and two dollar coins). Here are some photos from the stadium. If you ever have the chance to attend an OHL game, even if you’re not a hockey fan, you’ll be one after the game!

Great artwork and use of team colors to create fan wear that was truly wearable.
