Congratulations to the Canadian Women’s Hockey team for winning the gold by scoring two goals in the final 3:26 minutes of regulation to erase the United States’ 2-0 lead and forcing an overtime period that lead to Canada’s win. The U.S. brings home silver this time–congratulations to the U.S. Women’s Hockey Team for making it to the finals and playing their hearts out.  This intense rivalry made for some of the best hockey viewing of the year. Whether you normally follow hockey or not (everyone in our family is a big hockey fan), you’ll enjoy watching this gold-medal game. I also wanted to bring a very interesting blog to your attention, that Matt DeLaere wrote about yesterday, on a website called icethetics.coThe website covers the aesthetics of hockey uniforms and has posted a running standings board for the men’s and women’s Olympic hockey tournament. Fascinating stuff! Have a great weekend everyone. More on performance wear next week.

Ever wonder if the color of a jersey or its overall design (including names and numbers) has an effect on the team’s success? [Image from http://wwww.icethetics.co]
