Wisconsin is trying to promote itself as the Mitten State. It's not easy coming up with original ideas when your brain is full of cheese.
Wisconsin as a mitten? Really? Clever marketing ruse or just didn’t have a better idea? Either way you look at it, TravelWisconsin.com sure is drawing a lot of attention to itself. I guess people don’t associate cold weather fun with cheese–you need a mitten, but hey, that’s already taken. The response from the Detroit Free press in Michigan is also pretty funny.
