Mary and I have arrived in Ogunquit, Maine and are looking forward to seeing all our Great Race friends and meeting new ones. The best part of this experience is the people. From the folks that organize the event to the crazy car enthusiasts that participate, as well as all the thousands of strangers that line the route and cheer us on. We truly love ALL the people involved and we can’t believe a year has gone by since we last saw many of them. We are also grateful that Thomas and his son Benjamin have arrived safely from Germany and look forward to greeting our sons Brett and Dan when they arrive. And we are VERY thankful to our support team that made sure our cars all arrived safely here in Maine. In addition, we are very grateful to all the behind the scenes work that has gone on at Stahls’ and Transfer Express. Thanks to everyone who has helped us get this far. Just 2,100 miles, 10 days and 9 states to go. We can’t wait! Also, I purchased a GoPro camera just before leaving and we’re hoping to be able to share some “on the road” footage with all of you in the coming week. Stay tuned here and you can also check in on Facebook on the Spirit of Stahls‘ page.

We're in moose country! Let's hope we don't run into Maine's official state animal on the roads! It would be fun to see one though.

We've got our lucky shamrock keychain that was a gift from a Stahls' team member before we left! We're not superstitious, but hope it helps!
